NWR National English Honor Society Bylaws

I.  At least a 90% grade-point average in English is required in order to join and must be maintained to retain your membership. Failure to do so will result in probation. If you cannot pull up your average to the required grade within a nine weeks, you will be dismissed from the club.

II.  You must be registered through the Google Form to be officially enrolled in NEHS. All members must pay for the $20 membership fee by October 1. This will pay for your membership in the National English Honor Society.

III.  Meetings are the last Tuesday of every month from September to April at 7:30. NEHS reserves the right to change the meeting dates, so please be sure to check the website and Remind. Meeting dates for the year are posted under the "About" section and on the calendar. Meetings will be held in the lecture hall unless otherwise specified. Two (2) absences are allowed throughout the year; excused absences must be pre-approved or school related. Fill out the google form found on the website if you have an excused absence, so it can be approved by the sponsor and secretary.

IV.  All deadlines are FINAL. No exceptions or extensions will be made.

V.  If all of your required hours are NOT submitted by the deadline in April, seniors will be dismissed from the club and underclassmen will be put on probation the following school year.

VI.  Failure to adhere to the ideals of NEHS - scholarship, leadership, community service, and character - may result in removal from the club.

VII.  You are FULLY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring that your membership with NEHS is maintained.

NEHS reserves the right to edit and amend these bylaws at any time.
